Meet Our Corporate Team Building Staff
 Born in Canada, Seth was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Biology. As a recipient of the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship, Seth worked in biological field research focused on Sonoran Desert rattlesnake behavior, co-authored several scientific papers, and was a speaker at the American Society of Zoologists annual conference in 1996 and at the World Congress of Adventure Travel. After leaving academia, he worked as a guide and animal handler for the Natural History Unit of the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) and was recently the on camera talent for a 30-day expedition to a remote corner of Venezuela for the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and Outdoor Life Network. When Seth is not in the office, he is on the field guiding a tour or facilitating a team building session. Seth is one of the founding partner of The Adventure Team – Arizona Outback Adventures.
 Bernard was born and raised in the Loire Valley, France. A graduate of the Hostelry College of Strasbourg, and the University of Bordeaux, Bernard has held various management positions in hotel operations and human resources for Marriott Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Disney Resorts, and more recently Hilton Hotels Corporation.
Having joined The Adventure Team in 2006, Bernard is our General Manager, overseeing all the team building and day tours operations as well as heading our sales and marketing efforts. Bernard’s outside interests are road cycling, hiking, tennis and American history.
 Tina graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1999 with a degree in Recreation Administration and a minor in Spanish. She managed a variety of city youth sports and special event programs in several cities for 5 years. She also worked part-time for an adventure company guiding trips for children into the wilderness. Her move to Arizona in early 2004 was to pursue her dreams of working in Outdoor Recreation. She began guiding tours with AOA, and has now progressed into tour and event planning and management. You will find her friendly and helpful attitude to be a great part of your tour experience. When not hiking or planning tours for AOA, Tina enjoys walking her three dogs and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.
 Tim moved to Arizona from Taos, New Mexico, where he spent over 20 years working as a whitewater raft guide and as an operations manager for a large adventure travel company. Tim enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing and backpacking.
On days off he can often be found exploring ruins and cliff dwellings throughout Arizona. He is certified as a Wilderness First Responder and Swift Water Rescue Technician. His extensive experience in hotels and restaurants comes in handy in the kitchen on our multi-day tours, and if you are looking for a chess game just let him know.
Terra is certified in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University. Terra is our most popular teambuilding debriefing facilitator and has the rare ability to observe existing behaviors within a group, then immediately provide tangible steps that can be applied to improve group productivity and performance. She is the Director of the ASU Hunkapi Counseling program which services over 350 people per week ranging from corporate executives to at risk youth. Additionally, she conducts emotion management and relapse prevention at Southwest Behavioral Health and facilitates workshops with community partners and corporate entities on staff cohesion and creativity in the workplace. At Arizona State University Terra continues to research areas of hippo-therapy, training, and group dynamics. Terra has competed, judged, and trained reining horses professionally, plus conducting research on racehorses for seventeen years.
Shannon holds a masters degree and is a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Arizona State University. She has done extensive research on resiliency in children that live in high stress families at the masters and doctoral level. Additionally, she has taught graduate level courses in the field of Family Systems. Shannon specializes in assessing the patterns of group systems and how they work under stress. Over the past ten years, Shannon has used this expertise in a myriad of ways. She has worked in the Phoenix community as a crisis and substance abuse counselor. As manager of a crisis intervention team, Shannon taught counselors appropriate intervention techniques for high stress situations. In her private practice, Shannon teaches families strategic interventions for decreasing stress and improving relational patterns of interaction. She currently works for The Hunkapi Horse Program at ASU as a lead facilitator for corporate teambuilding events that focus on group dynamics and cohesiveness in the workplace. As a working mother of 2, marathon and Ironman competitor, Shannon has mastered balancing stressors while achieving goals.
Chris obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education, K-12 Teaching, from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and a Masters Degree in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University at Mankato, specializing in curriculum development. Currently Chris is working on an Educational Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. He is the author of six adventure-based activity focused books and has co-authored seven others. Chris has presented hundreds of workshops and training's around the United States and the World. Some notable conferences and trainings include the Association for Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance National Conference, the International Association for Experiential Education Conference and the International Challenge Course Symposium and Conference
Josh has a Masters of Art in Adventure Education and Recreation. He has designed and facilitated team building programs for the past 13 years. Josh serves a adjunct faculty in outdoor recreation for Scottsdale Community College, Paradise Valley Community College, Estrella Mountain Community College, and practicum supervisor for Prescott College. He is also the Lead Guide for One-Day Adventures.
Frank is the founder of AZ Rhythm Connection and has been facilitating rhythm for over 25 years. During a corporate career of the same length, Frank has held regional and national marketing, training and management positions with several Fortune 100 companies. Frank complete graduate studies in Management at the University of Redlands and is probably one of the few six-sigma certified hand-drummers you will run into. His background has given him a special insight for creating exciting team building and interactive experiences for our clients.
